Mary Lindsay

About Mary

In 1984 Mary became a licensed real estate sales person and began working for Royal Lepage at 1335 Carling Avenue. She is still there! Hardwork , market knowledge, strong negotiating skills, an honest and direct approach combine with a compassionate approach that has assured Mary much repeat and referral business. Prior to real estate Mary's primary role was as a wife and Mother to John, Kathy and Mary.

The family was relocated many times through David's career with Bell Canada. Mary was a supply teacher in many cities as the family moved around. It would seem that the many skills acquired throughout those years have enabled a very successful real estate career.

Mary has always been in the top 3 percent of realtors for Royal LePage across Canada, and sometimes in the top 1 percent. In her "off" time Mary enjoys reading, travelling, some golf, being with friends and at the top of the list, Mary and David treasure family times with their 9 amazing Grandchildren and their parents.

When asked, "When are you going to retire and start having fun?"Mary responds, " I am having the most fun doing exactly what I am doing. I love what I do."

John Lindsay

About John

John Lindsay is known throughout Ottawa-Carleton as a realtor's realtor because when you're good at what you do, you're happy to share your knowledge. John mentors a number of real estate agents – including his wife Margo – because he loves the thrill of helping people find not just a house, but a home.

John comes from a successful career in sales, but when he discovered working in real estate, he took off like a rocket. But John is quick to acknowledge he learned from one of the best realtors in Canada – his mother Mary Lindsay.

''This is the perfect fit for me'', he says. ''I love every aspect of being a real-estate agent in Ottawa-Carleton. Meeting people, helping them find just the right home, in just the right neighbourhood, with just the right schools and services is like solving a giant puzzle. If anyone asks me to describe my dream job, I tell them I am living it. It's a privilege to be allowed into people's lives during what can be a difficult, sometimes emotionally-fraught time. Our first job is to make this a joyful, stress-free experience.''

John's other love – aside from his family – is basketball and he is an enthusiastic volunteer coach at the high school attended by his two daughters, Heather and Abi. Both are also community-minded, outgoing young women. It's pretty obvious the apple doesn't fall far from the tree. You will find a friend, a trusted realtor and a solid businessman in John Lindsay

Margo

About Margo

Margo Lindsay's Ottawa roots run deep. This youngest of five children of the Beamish clan brings a unique energy to everything she tackles.

As a full-time career mom, Margo stayed home to raise two active and accomplished daughters, Heather and Abi, while also establishing a thriving small business, Margo's Homemade Desserts.

Margo's trademark skill is her ability to forge strong realationships and fast friendships in both her professional and private life. She has spent countless hours volunteering at her daughters' school and raising money for charities such as the Heart and Stroke foundation and cancer research to name just two of her favourite causes. She is now establishing herself as one of Ottawa-Carleton's accomplished real estate agents. Typically, she is quick to acknowledge that she has had great teachers in husband John Lindsay, and mother-in-law Mary Lindsay.

''Mary is one of the giants of the Canadian real estate industry. I am so appreciative of the mentoring I have had from her,'' she says. ''Mary's knowledge and skills continue to help and inspire me as a realtor.''

Margo's success in this newest passion also hinges on her love of hearth and home, whether she is hosting big, boisterous family dinners, or helping you buy or sell a residence.

''I understand the emotional ties you have to your home'', she says. ''And I know that buying a new home has to have that right fit. I welcome the opportunity to help you and your family settle for nothing less.''
